The 7th International Built Environment Undergraduate Research Competition (BEURC) is an undergraduate competition dedicated to all registered undergraduates in Built Environment programmes at both national and international levels. This competition is also an advanced programme based on the continuation of the annual conducts of BS Undergraduate Research Competition (BSURC) which were held at Faculty of Built Environment (FBE) since 2013. Therefore, this year 9th BSURC is embedded in the 7th International Built Environment Undergraduate Research Competition (BEURC). This competition will also take place as part of the 1st International Building Surveying Conference (IBSC) 2022.

The 7th International BEURC is to be organised by the Department of Building Surveying, FBE. It will be held on 5th December 2022 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In light of the growing global Coronavirus COVID-19 concerns, this year 7th BEURC will be held virtually. This competition aims to give an exposure and training to all the Built Environment (BE) undergraduates in presenting and showcasing their research studies. Their research studies will be based on the final academic project (thesis) of the BE programme. The presenters will be presenting their research background and findings based on their respective theses. This competition adheres to the core elements in BE which are building control, building surveying, architecture, planning, facilities management, real estate, engineering management as well as construction management.

The 7th International BEURC will be opened to both local universities offering BE programme, such as Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Shah Alam, Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Perak, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) Penang as well as international universities. Potential participation from international level would be from Building Surveying students of Faculty of Built Environment, Liverpool John Moores University. Students participating in the competition will be mostly from the final year students of Built Environment programmes such as Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Urban & Regional Planning and Real Estate. The final year students will be presenting the output of their theses.
