INTRODUCTION

The rising demand and consumption of conventional-fuelled energies, despite fast depletion of the resources have encouraged development of renewable energies such as solar, wind, rain, and geothermal heat. Renewable energy is not only environment-friendly but can be made more accessible to rural and remote areas, increasing their development potential. Green-energy technologies are modern-day solutions to the problems of conventional energy generation. Their development is a continuous effort that must be shared among those directly involved.

The 1st International IEEE Conference on Clean Energy and Technology (CEAT 2011) was held on 27th-29th June 2011 at the Legend Hotel Kuala Lumpur had attracted about 120 participants from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Brunei, India, Japan, Philippines, USA, Germany, and Nigeria. It was a successful first event that was concluded with much new knowledge gained, levels of existing knowledge elevated, views shared (and debated), and links initiated.

The 2nd IEEE International Conference on Clean Energy and Technology (CEAT 2013) was held in Langkawi from 18th to 20th November 2013. The conference had also attracted more than 120 participants from Malaysia as well as several international delegates from Japan, United States of America, Germany, Thailand, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and India.

The 3rd IET International Conference on Clean Energy and Technology (CEAT 2014) will be held in Malaysia between 24th to 26th November 2014. CEAT 2014 is organized to invite international delegates, to Sarawak to share their latest research findings besides getting to know Malaysia.

The conference provides engineers and academia with the opportunity to share experiences in recent development, current practices and future trends in power and energy. This event will provide a unique platform for discussing issues and developments in electrical power, power electronics, energy and its associated engineering fields. It is also a networking opportunity for establishing international relationships, the exchange of ideas and experiences amongst the many delegates.

The CEAT 2014 calls for original theoretical and applied papers on all aspects of renewable energy and clean technologies. Particular interest is concentrated on the latest issues and developments in renewable energy generations and its associated engineering fields. The scope of this conference covers:

  • Electrical & electronics,
  • Mechanical,
  • Material,
  • Civil & environmental
  • Policy and regulations,
  • Other related fields
