This workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of dental professionals in delivering safe, ethical, and inclusive oral healthcare for patients with special healthcare needs. Through a structured, multimodal approach, participants will be introduced to behavioural support strategies ranging from non-pharmacological techniques and sensory regulation to sedation and general anaesthesia pathways. Combining lectures, case-based discussions, and hands-on sessions, the workshop emphasises practical decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centred care to enhance treatment outcomes and overall dental experiences for this vulnerable population.
