The Centre of Advanced Materials (CAM) is a research centre under the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. Established in 2009, it aims to coordinate and strategise the research in the broad field of Materials Engineering.  Since 2017, the Centre of Advanced Materials (CAM), Faculty of Engineering (UM), and Nanolab Instruments Sdn. Bhd. have been working together in organizing workshops on topics related to electrospinning and materials characterization. These workshops were held under the umbrella of NanoKebangsaan, a national event held annually by the National Nanotechnology Center (NNC), Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Malaysia. The NNC serves as the National Focal Point for the coordination of research, development and all related activities of nanotechnology in Malaysia. With the current global challenges due to Covid19 pandemic, the CAM and Nanolab Instruments Sdn Bhd have taken initiative to change the format of the workshop in 2020 into a Webinar form.
