Children's oral health is a vital component of overall health, yet it continues to face major challenges, particularly the high prevalence of dental caries despite the fact that most cases are preventable.
With the evolution of modern public health approaches, increasing emphasis has been placed on early preventive strategies through community-based interventions, health policies, and the active involvement of healthcare professionals in fostering positive oral health behaviours from a young age.
Approaches such as nationally implemented supervised toothbrushing programmes and effective preventive communication among dental professionals and other healthcare providers have shown considerable potential in reducing the burden of dental disease among children. Therefore, the exchange of international expertise in this field is essential to strengthen understanding, broaden perspectives, and support the implementation of more effective and high-impact preventive strategies within the local context
