Welcome to the Laboratory Management & Scientific Conference (LMSC) 2026

The Laboratory Management & Scientific Conference (LMSC) 2026 is organised by Universiti Malaya and is being held for the first time as a dedicated platform to advance excellence in laboratory management and scientific services. The conference brings together Science Officers, Assistant Science Officers, Research Officers, Medical Laboratory Technologists, Laboratory Assistants, Assistant Engineers (Laboratory), academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to foster knowledge exchange, professional collaboration, and innovation.

With the theme "S.M.A.R.T. Laboratories: Enhancing Technical Talent & Innovation," LMSC 2026 highlights the vital role of laboratory professionals in driving scientific excellence through effective laboratory management, technical competency, quality assurance, equipment management, and laboratory safety.

The conference aims to enhance the visibility of the Science and Technical Services Scheme (Skim C) by promoting the exchange of expertise and best practices in laboratory management and scientific services. It also provides a valuable platform for participants to share knowledge, experiences, and innovative solutions while addressing current challenges and emerging opportunities in the scientific community.

In addition, LMSC 2026 seeks to strengthen strategic professional networks that support competency development, continuous learning, and career advancement among laboratory professionals. Through keynote addresses, technical presentations, and poster sessions, the conference aspires to inspire innovation, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the development of S.M.A.R.T. Laboratories that are future-ready, resilient, and capable of supporting world-class research, education, and scientific advancement.

We warmly welcome all participants to join us in this landmark event and be part of a collaborative journey towards shaping the future of laboratory management and scientific excellence.
