TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Open to all academics, non-academics, students, and alumni of FBEc and Universiti Malaya.
Each team should consist of either TWO (2) or FOUR (4) participants.
The entry fee is RM 400 per team (RM100 per participant).
Payments must be made via UMEvent (https://umevent.um.edu.my/MalayaTreasureHunt)
The closing date for registration is August 31, 2024, or earlier if the maximum number of 30 cars (teams) is reached.
The driver and navigator must possess a valid driving license and the vehicle must be covered by a valid road tax and insurance.
The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules, change or postpone the date, or even cancel the event if deemed necessary. Refunds will not be entertained, but the replacement of member(s) is encouraged.
Hunt Briefing will be held virtually on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm via UM Zoom Meeting. A meeting link for the briefing session will be promptly emailed to all registered participants.
At least one team member from each team must attend the briefing session and shall be responsible for disseminating all information provided at the briefing to all other team members.
Competition numbers and various car stickers provided by the organizers must be placed on participating vehicles as directed, and these must remain on the vehicle throughout the Hunt. No other form of advertising other than those provided by the organizers shall be permitted.
Participants should note that the decision of the organizer in any matter pertaining to the Hunt is final.
No protest, claim or appeal will be entertained under any circumstances.
By participating in the event, you consent to be photographed and/or included in the filming of imagery recording the event and/or included in sound recordings of the event.
Most of the event will be outdoors which will take place in varied weather conditions. You are expected to prepare accordingly for the day's conditions. The characteristics of structures may change in varying weather conditions.
ROOM ALLOCATION
Rooms will be allocated based on the information provided during registration. Participants may request to share a room with specific individuals. Requests must be made at the time of registration and are subject to availability. The event organizers reserve the right to assign roommates in the absence of specific requests.
EVENT SCHEDULE
The treasure hunt will take place on the first day, with participants engaging in activities throughout the day. In the evening, there will be a dinner and a prize presentation ceremony. Participants will depart the following day after breakfast and any free & easy activities.
INDEMNITY
By registering for this event, we have read the Terms and Conditions issued for this event and agree to be bound by them. In consideration of the acceptance of our entry, we, the undersigned, hereby agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions of the Malaya Treasure Hunt and to indemnify the main organizer, UM Faculty of Business and Economics, and event organizer, Team Trailblazers Sdn. Bhd., and all other persons or entities connected to or involved with the organization or conduct of the Hunt, and their respective servants or agents, from all actions, claims, costs, and damages in respect of death or injury to any of us; or death, injury, or damage that may have been contributed to or caused by the negligence of the aforesaid bodies, their servants, or agents. We further declare that all information given in this entry form is accurate.
