TOPICS

MEKANIKUM 2026 invites researchers, academics, industry practitioners, and students to share their latest work under the theme “Sustainability in Mechanical Engineering.” The conference emphasizes interdisciplinary research across energy, materials, manufacturing, product design, and mechatronics, and is held in conjunction with ICSAM 2026, NEXMAT 2026, and SSIEC 2026 to foster smarter and more sustainable industrial systems.

Scope of the conference

Contributions may be theoretical, experimental, computational, or industrial case studies, as long as they address sustainability-driven advances in mechanical engineering and related fields. Papers that cut across multiple topic areas, or bridge mechanical engineering with other engineering and applied science disciplines, are especially encouraged.

Main topic areas

MEKANIKUM welcomes submissions in the following areas, including but not limited to:

  1. Sustainability in Mechanical Engineering

    • Sustainable design, low-impact manufacturing, eco‑efficient machines and systems, life-cycle thinking in mechanical components and products.

  2. Renewable Energy, Thermal Systems, and Energy Efficiency

    • Renewable and hybrid energy systems, advanced thermal management, energy conversion, storage, and efficiency enhancement in industrial and built environments.

  3. Next Generation Materials and Material Performance

    • Functional and advanced materials, high‑performance alloys, composites, coatings, and material behaviour for reliable, durable, and sustainable applications.

  4. Smart Manufacturing, Automation, and Digital Production Technologies
