Geological Society of Malaysia

The Society was founded in 1967 with the aim of promoting the advancement of the earth sciences in Malaysia and the Southeast Asian (S.E.A) region. Currently, the Society has more than 1100 members worldwide of various earth science disciplines and expertise. The Society is active in organizing conferences such as GEOSEA and National Geoscience Conference (NGC). In addition to these they also organize regular technical talks, field trips and forums for the members.

37th National Geoscience Conference (NGC 2024)

The Geological Society of Malaysia is pleased to announce that the 37th National Geoscience Conference (NGC) will be held in Kuala Lumpur from 1st-3rd October 2024. This year the conference will be hosted by the Department of Geology, Universiti Malaya. The conference will be in conjunction with the 65th Anniversary (Sapphire Jubilee) of the Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya. The conference (NGC 2024) will continue the tradition as the premier geoscience event in the country; well attended by geologists from academia as well as the public and private sectors. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of NGC 2024 would like to invite you to take part in the conference and share or discuss your latest research findings from various fields of geosciences. 

Call for Papers: We invite abstracts for Oral and Poster presentations that will fit the following theme or sub-themes of the conference.
