The International Conference on Malaysian-Indonesian Studies or Persidangan Kajian Malaysia-Indonesia (PAKMI), formerly known as the International Conference on Malaysia-Indonesia Relation (PAHMI), is organised annually by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Malaya, with the cooperation of its partner universities in Indonesia to bring together academics, research students and non-governmental activists from both countries and other countries to discuss key issues related on Malaysia and Indonesia.

Held alternately in Malaysia and Indonesia, this conference aims to promote a deeper understanding of Malaysia and Indonesia at an academic, inter-societal and non-state level. It also encourages cooperation between researchers, academic institutions, civil society organisations and individuals in both countries and other countries, stimulating dialogue between Malaysia and Indonesia and the common interests of both countries regionally and globally.

We are pleased to invite you to contribute a scholarly paper looking at various special interests and relevant themes on Malaysia and Indonesia.
