This seminar is held in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCSEng). Dr. Charlotte Eckhardt is the current Dean of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Consultant in Orthodontics at Morriston Hospital, whereas Dr Jadbinder Seehra is the MOrth Examination Chair at the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is also a Consultant Orthodontist at Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust and Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This seminar is open to postgraduate students and lecturers, and has the following objectives:

  • Provide in-depth understanding of cleft lip and palate management, including multidisciplinary approaches and the orthodontist’s role in long-term care.
  • Enhance participants’ knowledge and clinical skills in the assessment, treatment planning, and use of orthodontic appliances in cleft cases.
  • Guide participants in effective preparation for the Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) examination through exposure to the exam format, and assessment criteria.
