Ian is Professor of Periodontology and Evidence-Informed Healthcare at UCL Eastman Dental Institute and Honorary Consultant in Periodontology with UCLH.  He is a clinical specialist in periodontics at UCL and in specialist practice at PerioLondon. He also leads the Centre for Oral Health and Performance (www.ucl.ac.uk/cohp) which has been awarded recognition by the International Olympic Committee as a research centre in collaboration with the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health and the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine. His research has been awarded prizes by the European Federation of Periodontology, Royal Society of Medicine, German Periodontal Society, German Cochrane Centre and International Association for Dental Research. Ian was nominated as an inspiring teacher at UCL in 2007 and received the UCL Provost’s Award for Leadership in Public Engagement in 2017. Ian was a member of the International Olympic Committee, Scientific Committee for the 2014 Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Monaco and a Faculty member in 2017. He leads a research programme in oral health and elite sport investigating the epidemiology and determinants of oral health in elite sport. Ian is a keen endurance athlete/mountain ultratrail runner.

BS Chong is Professor of Restorative Dentistry/Honorary Consultant, Endodontic Lead & Director, Postgraduate Endodontics, Barts & The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, where he is involved with the education and training of dentists and future specialists. Previously, he was associated with Guy's, now part of King's College London, for over 22 years.

He is also a General Dental Council (UK) registered Specialist in Endodontics and has been in private practice in Wimpole Street, London since 1990. He has held the role of visiting academic and external examiner at a number of UK and overseas dental schools. In addition, he has examined for both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh.

Professor Chong is the Editor and contributing author of two editions (6th and 7th) of Harty’s Endodontics in Clinical Practice; author of Managing Endodontic Failure in Practice; contributing author to Pathways in Practice (RCS Eng), Self-Assessment Picture Tests in Dentistry: Endodontics, Principles of Endodontics (2nd edition) and Dentine Hypersensitivity in Clinical Practice, and President of the British Endodontic Society (2017-18). He is also the Editor-in-Chief (UK) of ENDO – Endodontic Practice Today, and on the Editorial Board of the International Endodontic Journal.

Dr. Pow is currently a tenured Clinical Associate Professor and the Postgraduate Programme Director in Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong. As a registered specialist in Prosthodontics, Dr. Pow has been actively working in various aspects of clinical prosthodontics for over 25 years. Dr. Pow has developed many clinical techniques and published over 75 scientific/clinical articles and he won the Judson C. Hickey Scientific Writing Award of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry in 2015. He also serves on the editorial board of the Clinical Oral Implants Research, International Journal of Prosthodontics and Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Pow is now the President of the College of Dental Surgeons of Hong Kong (CDSHK), the President of Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society and the elected Councilor of the Prosthodontics Research Group of the International Association for Dental Research. He was also the Chair of Specialty Board in Prosthodontics of CDSHK and the Chair of the Asia Regional Committee of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.

Dr Eshamsul Sulaiman graduated with BDS from the Queen’s University of Belfast (UK) in 1997 and obtained his specialist training in Prosthodontics with Distinction from the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London in 2004.

His early training was in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Restorative Dentistry at the University Dental Hospital, Cardiff, UK from 1998 to 2001 where he obtained his MFD from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2000. He is actively involved in the teaching of postgraduates in Oral Implantology since 2005. He has lectured on dental implantology topics at many platforms in Malaysia, Pakistan and was appointed as a member of Implant Panel Discussion at the MDA-UCLAN Joint Symposium in 2012.

Among his achievements are winning the Design and Innovation Award at PECIPTA 2011, winning the Best Paper Award at the 22nd IADR-SEA Annual Scientific Meeting in 2009 and receiving the University College London (UCL) Dental School Commemorative Award in 2004 for his outstanding academic and clinical achievement during the course of his postgraduate training at the Eastman Dental Institute, London. He is an active member of Megagen International Network of Education and Clinical Research (MINEC)

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Shariff A Hamid is a sports physician and a senior lecturer with Sports Medicine Unit, University of Malaya. He is a council member of the Malaysian Association of Sports Medicine and a visiting consultant at the National Sports Institute of Malaysia. His research interest includes sports injuries (role of autologous biological products for injury management), rehabilitation and injury prevention as well as exercise prescription.

Dr. Sareena Hanim Hamzah been working as a lecturer at Centre for Sport and Exercise Sciences, University of Malaya for over 20 years. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at University of Malaya. Then she studied at University of Glasgow, Scotland where she obtained her Master of Medical Sciences in Human Nutrition and PhD in Sports Nutrition. Dr. Sareena’s current position is senior lecturer and she was the former Deputy Director (Research & Development) at Sports Centre. Dr. Sareena teaches and researches within the area of Sports Nutrition and Biochemistry of Exercise. Her primary interest concerns the association of nutrition with biochemical, metabolic and physiological responses to exercise. Dr. Sareena’s research is focused on the influence of natural products such as herbs, honey, soybean and local fruits on antioxidant activities, oxidative stress, hormonal responses, substrates oxidation and exercise performance. Her research interest also includes the influence of different type and amount of carbohydrate diets on exercise energy metabolism and performance, as well as on appetite regulation and body weight management. Recently, she involves in research projects on the classification of body shape using 3D body scanning technology in athletes and development of Sports Nutrition based mobile application. At present, Dr. Sareena is the Executive Member of the Asian Nutrition Society for Sports and Health (ANSSH)

Dr Asfand Ali Khan is presently a lecturer at the Department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Malaya. He graduated with BDS from Khyber College of Dentistry, Pakistan in 2010 following which he pursued his next goal to earn membership of the faculty of Dental Surgery of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS RCSEd) in 2014 and has been a member in good standing ever since. Next he obtained his specialist degree in Restorative Dentistry from University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2017. He further went on to earn a speciality membership in Endodontics of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (M Endo RCSEd) in 2018.Dr. Asfand is currently teaching Endodontics to undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as guiding them regarding professional membership examinations of the Royal Colleges of United Kingdom & Republic of Ireland.

Dr Razwan Ruslan is a Malaysian born dentist and fashion designer. He graduated in Doctor of Dental Surgery from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2016. He worked for 2 years under Ministry of Health before joining the private sector. He established his fashion line, DR. RAZWAN KUALA LUMPUR in 2017 and has a boutique above his dental clinic in Bandar Baru Selayang. His signatures in the fashion line i.e. suits, tuxedos and wedding dresses, are often featured in TV shows, awards and magazines. Simultaneously, Dr Razwan Ruslan is still a full time dental practitioner at his clinic, Razwan Dental Surgery, with a special interest in prosthodontics and aesthetic dentistry.
