Professor Dr. Rohaida Mohd. Saat

Professor Dr. Rohaida Mohd. Saat is an honorary professor at the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya. She was the former dean at the faculty and prior to that, she was the Head of Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit, Quality Management Enhancement Centre (QMEC), University of Malaya.  Her area of specialization and research is in science education, teacher education and qualitative research methodology. She headed several research projects in science education that were funded by various agencies. She is part of an EU-SHARE-funded feasibility study titled "Towards a Sustainable SHARE Online Training Course on Outcome-Based Education in ASEAN," which includes researchers from Germany, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Currently, her research is centred on the scientist-teacher-student partnership (STSP) in science teaching and learning. She has written and co-written several books, articles, and research reports on science education and education in general. Her most recent publication is a chapter in the book "Concepts and Practices of STEM Education in Asia" published by Springer. She is also a member of the Editorial Boards of the Eurasia Journal of Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education, the European Journal of STEM Education, and the European Journal of Science and Mathematics Education. She is a certified ISO auditor and the lead academic programme assessor for the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUNQA). She has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor in Science Education at Universitas Negeri Malang, Indonesia, and as a member of the Veritas University College Board of Governors.
