INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the AUA International Conference on Corpus Linguistics 2023 (AUA-CL2023) organised by Universiti Malaya. The conference will be held online on 24th (Friday) to 25th (Saturday) November 2023. This conference aims to showcase the latest innovations in language and linguistics research, highlighting the significant contributions of corpus linguistics in uncovering linguistic patterns and driving breakthroughs in various domains. In the two-day virtual conference, innovations in corpus linguistics will be explored through keynote speeches as well as parallel sessions and workshops. The conference will be an essential platform for researchers, students and educators to exchange best practices and ideas, establish networking and gain knowledge of current trends in the area of Corpus Linguistics.

 

CALL FOR PAPERS (CLOSED)

We'd like to invite submission of abstracts for papers addressing various aspects of language and linguistics, focusing on innovative approaches and novel applications in corpus linguistics based on any topic relevant to the list of themes provided below. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the conference programme committee. Presentations will consist of a 20-minute talk followed by 10 minutes for questions and discussion. Submissions should present complete research or research in progress where at least some substantial results have been achieved.

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES

Presenters are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers for publication in an edited book in the field of corpus linguistics. The maximum length of the paper should be 6,000 words (excluding references). All submissions must be in English. Submissions should follow the prescribed conference paper template which will be provided.
