1. Purpose of the Session

The Spark & Share Rapid Talks session aims to provide a platform for sharing teaching and learning practices, pedagogical innovations, implementation experiences, and new ideas in higher education in a concise and interactive manner.

2. Presentation Format

Each presenter will be allocated:

10 Minutes
Presentation
5 Minutes
Q&A and Discussion

Presenters are expected to adhere strictly to the allocated time to ensure the smooth running of the session.

3. Scope of Sharing

  • Teaching and learning innovations
  • Use of technology in education
  • Experiences in course or learning activity implementation
  • Assessment strategies
  • Best practices
  • Teaching reflections
  • Small-scale pedagogical studies

4. Language of Presentation

Presentations may be delivered in either Bahasa Melayu or English.

5. Presentation Materials

  • Presenters are encouraged to use slides that are concise, clear, and easy to understand.
  • All materials must comply with academic ethics and copyright requirements.

6. Participation and Confirmation

  • Participation is subject to approval by the colloquium secretariat.
  • The organisers reserve the right to rearrange presentation slots when necessary.

7. Recording and Documentation

The organisers reserve the right to record sessions, take photographs, and use session materials for reporting, promotional, and academic archival purposes.

8. Certificate of Participation

Certificates of participation or presentation will be awarded to participants who complete their scheduled session.

9. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to maintain professionalism, respect differing viewpoints, and foster a constructive culture of idea exchange in line with the spirit of the colloquium.

Submission Information

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Participants interested in joining the Spark & Share Rapid Talks session are required to submit an extended abstract according to the provided template. Submissions must be made through the Google Form provided by the organisers.

Submission Requirements

  1. The abstract must contain between 500 and 600 words, excluding references.
  2. The abstract should clearly describe:
    • The main idea or key message to be conveyed
    • The context or issue being addressed
    • The approach, experience, innovation, or practice being shared
    • The impact, reflections, or lessons learned
  3. The abstract should outline the flow of the presentation or the journey of ideas that participants will experience throughout the sharing session.
  4. Participants are encouraged to include a brief description of visuals, illustrations, diagrams, or images that support the message and effectiveness of the presentation.
  5. All submissions must be prepared in either Bahasa Melayu or English.
  6. Submitted abstracts will undergo a review process by the colloquium committee.
