The Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FSKTM), University Malaya, Malaysia is pleased to announce the 2026 AUA-UM Postgraduate Academic Forum on AI-Powered Insights: The New Era of Data-Driven Intelligence (AUA-UM-PGRES-AI 2026).

The forum will be held on 17–18 April 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia bringing together postgraduate students from AUA member universities to share research, exchange ideas, and foster regional academic collaboration in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence and data-driven technologies.

The 2025 AUA Postgraduate Academic Forum on AI-Powered Insights: The New Era of Data-Driven Intelligence serves as a dynamic platform for postgraduate researchers to explore advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science.

Co-hosted by Universiti Malaya, Universitas Indonesia, and Chulalongkorn University, the forum will feature keynote talks, workshops, and research presentations, fostering knowledge exchange and discussions on emerging trends.

Panels from Universiti Malaya, ranked 29th in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, along with experts from Universitas Indonesia and Chulalongkorn University, will contribute to the discussions.

Key topics include machine learning, big data analytics, ethical AI, and real-world applications across industries. Workshops will focus on developing technical and writing skills, while presentation sessions allow early-stage researchers to showcase their projects and receive constructive feedback. Selected papers will be compiled into proceedings and recommended for publication in academic journals.

Designed to be inclusive and accessible, the forum promotes academic exchange, collaboration, and professional growth within the evolving fields of AI and Data Science.

Forum Objectives

This two-day postgraduate academic forum aims to:

• Provide a platform for postgraduate students to present and discuss original research related to AI-powered and data-driven intelligence;

• Strengthen research capabilities, academic communication, and interdisciplinary perspectives among postgraduate researchers; and

• Encourage networking and future collaboration among AUA member universities in AI, data science, and related domains.
