CONCET is an acronym taken from the conference title: CONC - Concrete, E - Engineering, and T - Technology CONCET. Held since 1989, this is the 17th conference in the series, consistently drawing speakers and attendees from around the world. 

CONCET is a biennial international conference, and CONCET 2026 is organized by the Centre for Innovative Construction Technology (CICT), Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaya (UM), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) are the co-organizers, and the conference is conducted on a rotational basis. The International Conference, CONCET, is a major, biennial technical event in Malaysia's built environment sector.

CONCET aims to bring together engineers, construction practitioners, scientists, and researchers to share their knowledge, expertise, and experience in concrete engineering and technology.

The theme for CONCET 2026 is 'Advancing Concrete Construction: Sustainability, Integrity, and Artificial Intelligence for Smarter Built Environments'. The conference is aimed at providing fresh perspectives on the latest developments in concrete engineering and technology towards sustainability. 

The conference also aims to provide a forum to discuss related research, methodologies, directions, and other important issues of concrete engineering and technology. Special emphasis will be given to green technology, sustainable materials, and robust designs, as well as the maintenance and repair of concrete structures. Most of the recent reported findings in the area of concrete engineering and technology will be discussed in utilizing this knowledge for the development of sustainable concrete structures.
