1. TRANSPORTATION
Q: How can I travel from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to the University of Malaya?
A: Metered taxi are available at the airport, as well as public transport such as KLIA Express train. You may board the train from KLIA to KL Sentral. From KL Sentral, you may travel to your preferred hotel or University of Malaya. You can either opt for bus or LRT from KL Sentral to KL Gateway University Station in order to travel to the campus.
Q: When is the earliest or latest train available to and fro Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)?
A: You may check for the train schedule at here.
Q: How can I travel around campus?
A: Free local transport within the campus will be arranged upon request.
2. VISA DOCUMENTATION
Q: I need a letter of invitation to obtain a visa. Can you help me?
A: Please send email on requisition letter to CONCET Secretariat. E-mail us at concet@um.edu.my. Letters will only be given to registered and fully paid conference attendees.
Q: How far in advance should I request a letter of invitation to obtain a visa?
A: Conference secretariat recommends requesting a letter of invitation and your visa three (3) months prior to the conference. However, we strongly advise the presenters and participants to request for relevant documents as early as possible to ease the visa application.
3. PAYMENT
Q: When do I need to make payment for the conference?
A: Upon the acceptance of the paper, notification will be sent to you and payment can be made through online.
Q: How much do I need to pay if I were to submit 3 papers?
A: The first paper is charged full amount, while the 2nd and 3rd paper each get 50% discount.
4. ACCOMODATION
Q: Are the hotels listed provide discount for conference participants?
A: The lists provided are suggested accommodation but we do not have arrangement with the hotels to provide discount. It will be according to the normal rates which the hotels are offering.
Q: Is there any accomodation in campus?
A: In campus lodging may be arranged upon request.
Q: What are the facilities provided for the in campus accomodation? And how much does it cost?
A: Each room comes with 2 beds, 2 study tables, ceiling fan and 2 cupboard. Common bathroom and toilets are available separately. It cost RM 15 per person per day. Please note that no blanket are provided.
