Professor Shireen Anne Nah is the Head of GREEN@UMHealth, the Centre for Sustainability in Healthcare at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, where she leads efforts to integrate sustainability into healthcare practices. With extensive international experience, she completed a clinical research fellowship in London and spent 8 years at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Singapore. Her research interests focus on congenital colorectal conditions in children and health outcomes. A passionate advocate for sustainability and diversity in surgery, she is committed to fostering regional collaboration within ASEAN.

PROFESSOR DR. INA ISMIARTI SHARIFFUDDIN

Prof. Dr. Ina Ismiarti Shariffuddin is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at University of Malaya, specializing in Paediatric Anaesthesia. She holds a Master’s in Medical Education from UM and a Paediatric Anaesthesia Fellowship from KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Singapore. Dr. Ina has served in leadership roles, including Head of the Paediatric Anaesthesia Unit at UM, and has contributed to curriculum development and national committees in Anaesthesiology. She is the current President of the Malaysian Society of Paediatric Anaesthesiologists, a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, and serves on the Steering Committee for Green@UMHealth.

Dr. Ng Ai Kah is a senior lecturer at the Department of Social & Preventive Medicine, University of Malaya. With 14 years of experience in Nutrition & Dietetics and Food Services, she holds qualifications in Dietetics, Public Health, and a PhD from UM. Her research focuses on dietetics, food safety, and adolescent health nutrition. Dr. Ng is an active council member of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association (MDA) and a steering committee member for Green@UMHealth.

DR. BALA MURALI A/L SUNDRAM

Dr. Bala Murali Sundram is a Senior Lecturer in Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Malaya, with a Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from Universiti Malaya. at the University of Malaya. He holds a MPH and DrPH from Universiti Malaya and specializes in Occupational Health, Disease Surveillance, and Mental Health in the workplace. With extensive experience at the Ministry of Health Malaysia, including leading efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, he has contributed to numerous research collaborations and received the Exemplary Service Award. He is also a member of the Malaysian Medical Association and the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH).Dr. Bala is also a steering committee member at Green@UMHealth.

PROFESSOR NICK WATTS
Director of Centre for Sustainable Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine
National University of Singapore
Professor Nick Watts is the Director of the Centre for Sustainable Medicine at the National University of Singapore, where he leads efforts in sustainable medicine and NetZero Healthcare Systems. He is a medical doctor with prior roles at The Lancet, the World Health Organization, and the Royal Medical and Nursing Colleges in the UK. As Chief Sustainability Officer for the NHS, he led the UK's ambition to create the world's first net-zero health system. He has also contributed significantly to the Lancet Countdown on Health and Climate Change, overseeing collaborations across 51 institutions. Professor Watts is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians' Faculty of Public Health and has founded key alliances to promote health's role in combating climate change. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame and Monash University.

ADJ ASST PROFESSOR DR. AMANDA ZAIN

Adj Asst Prof Dr Amanda Zain is a paediatrician with an MBBS and Master of Medicine (Paediatrics) from NUS, specializes in general paediatrics, emergency care, and sustainable healthcare. She served as Chief Resident in the Paediatric Residency Programme and is a clinical tutor at NUS. Dr. Amanda leads sustainability initiatives and quality improvement projects in healthcare, such as waste reduction in paediatric wards. She is the Assistant Dean of Sustainability at NUS and leads the Green QI module at NUH.

Prof. Dr. Diantha Soemantri is a Professor in Medical Education at Universitas Indonesia, with expertise in medical education, program assessment, and interprofessional education. She holds a PhD in Medical Education from Melbourne Medical School and a Master's from the University of Dundee. Dr. Soemantri has held several leadership roles, including Vice Director of Medical Education at Universitas Indonesia, and is actively involved in medical education research and consultancy. She is also a member of various academic editorial teams and has received several research grants. Her research focuses on feedback fatigue and health literacy integration in education.

His research interests include primary care medicine, family medicine, community medicine, medical and health profession education, infectious diseases, women's reproductive health, and maternal and child health.

Associate Professor Chantelle Rizan is a medical doctor and researcher at the Centre for Sustainable Medicine, National University of Singapore, focusing on Net Zero Clinical Transformation and the circular economy of healthcare products. She holds a PhD on reducing the carbon footprint in operating theatres and was a Clinical Lecturer in Sustainable Healthcare at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. A/Prof. Rizan leads policy reports on decarbonizing surgery and integrating environmental impact into healthcare procurement. She has received notable awards, including the Hillary International Health and Care Leadership Award (2022) and the Adam Weiler Doctoral Impact Award (2021).
