Nusantara Technologies Sdn Bhd (Co. Reg.: 187753-D) or known as Nusatek was established in 1991 and has grown dynamically from strength to strength to be a premier Malaysian testing and calibration company. It was incepted as a joint-venture company on 9th January 1991 between Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Ghazali bin Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff, a well-known Malaysian business entrepreneur, and Singapore Test Services Pte. Ltd. (STS), a member of the Singapore Technologies Group. However, since 2012, Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Ghazali bin Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff bought over the shares held by STS so that Nusatek is now fully owned by Malaysians and is a Bumiputera controlled SME.

Nusatek, which started from a small laboratory with only 3 employees, is now established in key locations in Malaysia to service our customers from diverse industries and also overseas customers, especially in oil and gas, transportation, power plant industries, as well as in steel structure fabrications.

The name of ‘Nusantara’ was chosen by Dato’ Dr. Mohamed Ghazali bin Dato’ Mohamed Yusoff to symbolize his vision to expand his business and knowledge across the Nusantara. The word ‘Nusantara’ itself means ‘amongst islands’, of which Nusa means ‘island’ and ‘antara’ means being amongst. In modern usage, Nusantara is synonymous and often interchangeable with the Malay Archipelago or Malay realm which includes other neighbouring countries within the Malay Archipelago i.e Singapore, Brunei and Philippines.

Material Division

Material Testing Division is among the pioneer Material Laboratory in Malaysia and has been established since 1989 with specialization in metal and alloy testing. Nusatek’s laboratory testing has been accredited to MS ISO/IEC 17025 since 2012 and continues to provide a wide range of mechanical and metallurgical testing services catering to the needs of various industries. Nusatek also hold a PETRONAS License for Material Testing services, Identification and Failure Analysis to comply with requirements for any PETRONAS Projects and International Oil and Gas companies who require a PETRONAS License as their prerequisite. With a wealth of experience over the years and an excellent track record, Nusatek provides their services locally and regionally, onshore and offshore, to a various range of sectors including civil industries, oil and gas, petrochemical refineries and facilities, power generation, fabrication yards and workshops. Non-Destructive Testing Division

Nusatek is synonymous with NDT being a leader in this field, the company known throughout as a leading NDT service provider in Non-Destructive Testing in Malaysia. With numerous years of experience in the NDT field, locally and regionally, onshore and offshore, Nusatek has established their brand and has always been actively contributing in providing NDT services to a diverse range of industry sectors including oil and gas, petrochemical refineries and facilities, power generation, fabrication yard and workshop, civil construction and automotive. In line with the quality awareness among all the industries worldwide nowadays, NDT services have become highly in demand and well accepted from various industries.

Metrology Division

Nusantara Technologies Sdn. Bhd. provides industries valuable assistance to conform to ISO 9000, ISO 17025 and other ISO requirements in calibration of measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in measurements. Nusatek’s Metrology and Calibration laboratory provides accredited services under ISO 17025 (SAMM No. 548). Our measurement and calibration instruments are traceable and certified to National Metrology Institute of Malaysia (NMIM) or equivalent. Customers are guaranteed a high degree of confidence in their precision work.

Nusantara Test Services Sdn. Bhd. (Nusatest) is an affiliate company of Nusantara Technologies Sdn. Bhd., specialises in Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection services, particularly Advanced NDT and focuses its services at offshore, large-scale and long-term project based on NDT services.  It has its head office in Bukit Kemuning and workshop in Labuan. The company also has a yard in Bukit Kemuning. Building on exisiting strengths and expertise, Nusatest aims to be the leader in the field regionally and be the best NDT inspection services provider. Nusatest pledges to continuously provide premier Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection services to industries in the Oil and Gas, Metal Fabrication. Construction, Transport and Utilities.
