1991
The 1st ICFPAM, New Delhi, India January 20-25, 1991 inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India
1993
The 2nd Edition: Jakarta, Indonesia, January 10-15, 1993, was inaugurated by President Soeharto in the Presidential Palace and had 244 participants from 24 countries
1995
The 3rd Edition: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, January 16-20, 1995 and was scheduled to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister
1997
The 4th Edition: Cairo, Egypt, January 4-9, 1997 with the Minister of Scientific Research of the Government of Egypt as the Honorary Chair. Three hundred and fifty highly selected participants from 30 countries covering all continents participated
1999
The 5th Edition: Poznan, Poland, June 21-25, 1999, with the Minister-Chairman State Committee for Scientific Research, the Minister of Education, and the Minister of Economy as Honorary Chairpersons
2001
The 6th Edition: Recife (Pernambuco, Brazil), May 4-9, 2001 with Minister of Science and Technology of Brazil and Rector of the Federal University of Pernambuco as Honorary Chairpersons. The conference had an attendance of about 250 participants from 25 countries
2003
The 7th edition: Bucharest, Romania, June 10 – 15, 2003 at this conference the President of Romania, Minister of Education and Research, Minister of Industry and Resources were Honorary Chairpersons. The conference had an attendance of about 300 participants from more than 30 countries
2005
The 8th edition was organized by University of Mexico in Cancun (Mexico, Quintana Roo)
2007
The 9th conference was organized by University of Technology, Krakow, jointly with Institute of Natural Fibers, Poznan, in Krakow, July 8-12, 2007
2009
The 10th ICFPAM was held in Santiago (Chile) and was organized by University of Chile. It benefited of important participation of scientists from America, and in particular from Argentina, Brazil and Chile
2011
The 11th ICFPAM edition of the conference, the next one was held in Pretoria, South Africa and was organized by University of Pretoria. The South African research minister was present at the opening ceremony. The conference attracted an important participation of researchers not only from the host country, but also from other African countries
2013
The 12th ICFPAM was organized by University of Auckland, in Auckland and attracted a record high participation of more than 500 scientists, coming from 40 countries around the world
2015
For the 13th ICFPAM, the conference was back in Africa and was held at Marrakesh, Morocco and was organized by Moroccan Society of Advanced Materials Physics and their Applications (SMPM2A)
2016
The 14th ICFPAM was held in Daejeon, South Korea on October 31-November 4, 2016. This edition of ICFPAM is hoted by Hannam University celebrating 60 years of its founding. The organizer was Prof. Kwang-Sup Lee at Hannam University and the number of attendence was more than 400 scientists from 32 countries around the world.
