The Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Universiti Malaya and the Universiti Malaya Library are organizing the 10th International Conference on Libraries, Information Society 2026 (ICoLIS 2026), which will held on 21st - 23rd October 2026 at Resorts World Langkawi

The conference aims to bring together Library & Information Science (LIS) professionals to share new ideas, and application experiences face to face, establish business or research relations, and find global partners for future collaboration. In tangent with the roles of libraries as valuable centers for the open science movement, the objectives are:

• To discuss various research issues and best practices related to libraries, information, and society;
• To provide a platform for academics, professionals, industry players, researchers, and students to share and exchange experiences, knowledge, and perspectives; and
• To facilitate interaction and foster networking and collaboration among academics, professionals, industry players, researchers, and students.
