Guidelines for Submissions


All prospective authors must log in to the official conference website and submit their full paper, short paper, or poster in MS Word format through the online submission system of the 10th International Conference on Libraries, Information and Society 2026 (ICoLIS 2026). Please refer to the User Manual for detailed submission procedures and technical guidelines.

USER MANUAL TO UPLOAD ABSTRACT/FULL PAPERS 

The extended abstract must include the following:

  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of each author
  • Contact details of the presenter(s): name, organisation, mailing address, telephone, and email address, along with a brief biography
  • Extended abstract (800–1,000 words) covering:
    • Full paper    -    Introduction, purpose, methods, findings, conclusion 
    • Short paper    -    Introduction, purpose, methods, findings, conclusion 
    • Practice paper   -   Context, problem, implementation, outcomes and impact, lesson learned, recommendation
    • Poster         -   Refer to either short paper or practice paper

Details for the full, short and practice papers :

  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of each author
  • Contact details of the presenter(s): name, organisation, mailing address, telephone, and email address, along with a brief biography
  • Full papers: approx. 5,000–7,000 words excluding references.
  • Short papers: 2,000–4,000 words excluding references.
  • Practice paper: 2,000–4,000 words excluding references.
  • Poster: extended abstract only.

Affiliated Journal – By Invitation

Selected high-quality papers presented at ICOLIS 2026 may be invited for submission to the Malaysian Journal of Library & Information Science (MJLIS), subject to the journal’s scope, policies, and submission requirements. Please note that an invitation to submit does not guarantee publication. All submitted manuscripts will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review and editorial evaluation process.
