Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, from its founding until now (1963-2023), has contributed sixty years to educational sectors, nationally in Malaysia or internationally. To celebrate its sixtieth anniversary, a Diamond Jubilee, the faculty will conduct a special international conference on sustainability education and development, which is relevant to the contemporary issue of the Sustainable Development Goal for Quality Education (SDG 4).
The International Conference on Sustainability Education Development 2023 (ICSED 2023) is an academic vehicle for Malaysian and International educators to contribute to the thinking of complete human development through education. The conference will conclude a series preceding the 2023 faculty anniversary celebration schedule. The conference will be conducted on October 25-26, 2023, with the theme “Empowering Educators for A Sustainable Future.”
This hybrid conference will be held physically at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Malaya, and online through the Video Conferencing Platform. Three general themes on the sustainability education development will focus on Equitable Quality Education, Reform & Sustainability in Education, and Health & Well-being in Education.
Please submit your extended abstract of between 500 and 1000 words with citations and references.
Please ensure that your extended abstract includes the following components:
1. A clear and concise introduction to the research problem or topic
2. The objectives or goals of your study
3. A brief overview of the methodology or approach used
4. Key findings or results obtained
5. A discussion highlighting the significance and implications of your research
6. APA-style citations and references at the end of abstractsThe extended abstract should provide enough information for readers to grasp the essence of your research and its relevance to the conference themes.

Submitting the full or long paper for publication in the book chapters and journals is optional and can be done after the conference. PUBLICATIONS
After the conference, extended articles (optional by the authors) will be pre-reviewed by our experts to improve their quality before submission to our partner journals (indexed by Scopus): Information & Learning Sciences, Malaysian Online Journal of Educational Management (MOJEM), and Springer's Book Chapters SDG Series*.

AWARDS
The dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Malaya wishes to honor the best research papers and posters with certificate awards in several categories (4 categories for the paper presentation and 4 categories for the poster presentation). For each category, certificates will be presented in platinum and gold.
