The Asian Association for Biology Education (AABE)
The Beginning of the AABE Conferences. . .
The first AABE conference was held in 1966 in the city of Manila in the Philippines. The 7th AABE conference was held at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1978. 36 Years later it is once again back in Kuala Lumpur. The 25th AABE conference will be hosted by the Living Lab, Centre for Sustainability Sciences, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. It will be a Silver Jubilee celebration.

Each conference's theme met the challenges faced in Biology Education at the particular times. Sustainable Development has been a constant.
