Competition Requirements 

This challenge is open to undergraduates and postgraduates of engineering discipline in particular related to biomedical or healthcare sector. Submissions are invited from all students at all stages of their academic studies.

There is no limit to the number of teams that may compete from any universites. Each team consists up to 2 (two) members (student only).

The registration fee per team is equivalent to Malaysian Ringgit RM200.00. There are no limits on team number per university. 

Entries submitted should not exceed two years of development, unless there are some newly added values on the previous prototypes's version. All participants must provide proof that they are students at the time of work for the challenge was conduected. Successful teams must bring their prototypes for the presentation. Large prototypes that are not transportable will be taken into consideration during the judging. In case of this, the movie or such kind of visual material may assist your team. 

Selected entries will be notified by emails and are required to register for BioMed2020 Global Challenge.

 

Competition Guideline

  1. The teams will submit the BioMed2020 Global Challenge Entry Form (details coming soon).
  2. Organizing secretariats will evaluate submissions to be selected to attend BioMed2020 competition. 
  3. Selected teams will be expected to attend the competition with an A0 size poster outlining their design and innovation. Prototypes will have to be displayed together with the posters at the conference to a panel of judges, and form part of the judging criteria.
  4. The finalists will be given 10 minutes for oral and demo presentation covering the key ideas of the project to the panel of judges and followed by 5 minutes Q&A.
  5. Based on the judging criteria, the judges will rank and identify overall winners of the competition.
