GUIDELINE FOR E-POSTER SUBMISSION
  1. The topic must be relevant to dentistry.

  2. The participant must read and understand the guidelines given. Any submission after the stipulated deadline will not be accepted.

  3. There are TWO (2) categories for the e-poster competition:

    a)   Research related to dentistry; two awards for each of Senior and Junior researchers.

Junior researchers (less than five (5) years of experience in dentistry)

Senior researchers (more than five (5) years of experience in dentistry)

          b)   Clinical case related to dental trauma - Two awards.

  1. The allocation time for each pre-recorded e-poster is 5 minutes.

  2. The e-poster without the audio must be submitted together with the pre-recorded one. 

  3. The participant must provide a valid email address to ensure the communication between the symposium secretariat and participants will run smoothly. 

  4. All the e-posters will be shared with the delegates for viewing by link/QR Code/onsite.

STEP 1

DOCUMENT 1

  1. Please fill up the project information in the given e-poster template using the format below:

  • Use PowerPoint to prepare a poster in portrait style orientation. Download e-poster template through this link 🡪 E-Poster Template

  • Size of poster: 56 inches (width) X 36 inches (height)

  • Other templates are NOT ACCEPTED and will be disqualified automatically.

  • The poster must be self-explanatory and cover the same material as the abstract.

  • Open your PowerPoint slide 🡪Insert 🡪Audio🡪 Upload/ record your audio presentation (maximum 5 minutes) or refer to this Youtube Link to learn how to insert audio in your slide: ( How To Insert Audio Into PowerPoint Slides ) 🡪 save as type: PowerPoint Presentation.

  • Name the document as your NAME-INSTITUTION-POSTER

          Example: ANGELA-UM-POSTER

  1. Prepare the same e-poster without the audio and save as type: PowerPoint Presentation.

  2. Name the document as your NAME-INSTITUTION-POSTER-WITHOUT AUDIO 

           Example: ANGELA-UM-POSTER-WITHOUT AUDIO

STEP 3

DOCUMENT 3

  1. The participant must submit an abstract. Download the abstract format template through this link🡪 Abstract Template

  2. Save and name the word document as your NAME-INSTITUTION-ABS.             

           Example: ANGELA-UM-ABS

STEP 4

Submit document 1, 2 and 3 by 17th February 2024, 5.00pm via email to idtcunimalaya@gmail.com. Any submission after the deadline will not be accepted.

NOTE:

However, you are encouraged to submit the abstract at the earliest as possible through the UM Event platform. Both the e-poster with and without the audio must be received by the committee no later than 17th February 2024, 5.00pm.

STEP 5

Your e-poster will be evaluated by the selected panels and the link/QR Code will be also shared to delegates to view the e-posters. E-poster presentation is NOT required. 

STEP 6

The participants are entitled to receive up to 2 types of e-certificates;

  1. E-poster participation e-certificate: applicant submit completed application (submit e-poster with and without audio and abstract as well as paid the fee); 

  2. E-poster winner e-certificate:  If you win the competition, the secretariat will email the e-certificate within one (1) week after the event.
