The International Conference on Smart and Advanced Manufacturing 2024 (ICSAM 2024) will be held in 4* Aloft KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is right next door to KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur's central station and Urban Centre. The station is easily accessible and provide connectivity throughout the city. Visitors can take the KLIA Express from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in approximately 30 minutes. Universiti Malaya (UM) is located in Pantai Valley, Kuala Lumpur, approximately 7 kilometers southwest of the Aloft KL Sentral hotel.

DAY 1 VENUE : ALOFT KUALA LUMPUR SENTRAL
Here’s how to get to the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral hotel by various modes of transport:
1. By Train (KTM, LRT, MRT, Monorail)
- KTM Komuter: Take the KTM Komuter to KL Sentral station. The hotel is directly connected to the KL Sentral transit hub, and you can walk over via a covered pathway.
- LRT (Light Rail Transit): Take the Kelana Jaya Line LRT to KL Sentral station, then follow the signs to Aloft Hotel.
- MRT (Mass Rapid Transit): Take the MRT Kajang Line to Muzium Negara station, which is connected to KL Sentral via a pedestrian walkway.
- Monorail: Take the KL Monorail to KL Sentral station, which connects to the main terminal. From there, follow the signs to Aloft Hotel.
2. By Bus
- RapidKL: Many RapidKL buses service KL Sentral, which is a major transit hub. From the KL Sentral bus terminal, it’s a short walk to Aloft. Require the use of a Touch-n-Go prepaid card, available at most public transport stations.
- Hop-On Hop-Off Bus: If you're a tourist, the KL Hop-On Hop-Off bus has a stop at KL Sentral.
3. By Taxi or E-Hailing Services (Grab, AirAsia Ride, etc)
- Grab: Open the Grab app, set your drop-off location to Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, and a Grab driver will take you directly there.
- Taxi: Standard city taxis can also take you to Aloft. Simply tell the driver to go to Aloft Hotel at KL Sentral.
4. By Car
- Self-Driving: If you're driving yourself, the hotel has parking facilities. Input Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral into your GPS or navigation app. Parking Fees are applicable (A flat rate is applicable for ICSAM participants)
5. By Airport Express (KLIA Ekspres)
- If you’re coming from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA or KLIA2), take the KLIA Ekspres to KL Sentral. From KL Sentral, Aloft Hotel is just a 5-minute walk away, connected via a covered walkway.
Each mode of transport will get you there fairly easily, but the train is often the most convenient due to KL Sentral's connectivity with Aloft Hotel.

DAY 2 VENUE : FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, UNIVERSITI MALAYA (UM), KUALA LUMPUR
Here’s how to reach the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya (UM) in Kuala Lumpur via different transportation modes:
1. By Train (LRT and MRT)
- LRT (Light Rail Transit): Take the Kelana Jaya Line LRT and get off at Universiti LRT Station. From there, you can take a short taxi or Grab ride to the Faculty of Engineering, or use the UM campus shuttle (if available) to reach your destination.
- MRT (Mass Rapid Transit): Take the MRT Kajang Line and get off at Phileo Damansara MRT Station. From there, take a taxi, Grab, or bus to the UM campus. Although it’s not as close as the Universiti LRT station, it’s still an option if you’re closer to the MRT line.
2. By Bus (require the use of a Touch-n-Go prepaid card, available at most public transport hubs)
- RapidKL Buses: You can take RapidKL Bus T789 from the Universiti LRT Station directly to the University of Malaya but may stop at various gates, so be sure to check the route.
3. By Taxi or E-Hailing Services (Grab, AirAsia Ride, etc)
- Grab: Open the Grab app and set your drop-off location to the Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. The Grab driver will take you directly there.
- Taxi: Standard city taxis are available throughout Kuala Lumpur. Inform the driver you’re heading to the Faculty of Engineering at University Malaya.
4. By Car
- Self-Driving: If you’re driving, you can enter the UM campus through the main entrance (Jalan Universiti) and follow the signs to the Faculty of Engineering. Be mindful of parking restrictions as some areas on campus may require visitor passes.Rental Car: You can also rent a car to drive yourself to the campus and park at one of the visitor-designated parking areas if available.
The LRT Universiti station + Grab or bus route is usually the easiest and most convenient option, especially during peak hours when traffic can be high.
