The fourth industrial revolution has spurred the advancement of emerging technologies that is changing the educational landscape. With this ground-breaking technologies, educational affordances are providing opportunities to educators that were never before present. As teaching and learning environments become more and more complex as well as becoming more personalized, educators cannot afford to be static in these ever-dynamic environments. There is a need to re-think, re-assess, re-design, re-develop, and re-evaluate how teaching and learning is implemented in these new learning settings. Furthermore, with these rapid changes, the role of educators have to be repositioned to suit these personalized environments. The talk will discuss this concerning issue and provide ideas, views and directions in shifting the roles of educators towards the future of digital learning.
