Instructions on the submission of Manuscripts for the special issue of SCS 2019: Sea, Science & Societies: Forging Alliances in Facing Global Environmental Change

A Special Issue/Section of Journal of Oceanology and Limnology (JOL), formerly Chinese Journal of Oceanology and Limnology (CJOL, 1982-2017) on the topics of Sea, Science & Societies: Forging Alliances in Facing Global Environmental Change is being organized.

JOL aims to disseminate original research articles in the forms of review, research paper, and note. JOL accepts high-quality articles on aspects of oceanology (oceanography) and limnology from all over the world, including those in academic coverage: biology, geology, chemistry, hydrology, meteorology, and geography; and those in practical coverage: aquaculture, marine resource exploration, remote-sensing, environmental protection, marine engineering, pharmacology, and instrumentation.

The submit authors should adhere to the following steps in submitting your original research or review paper in the Special Issue includes three major steps as described below.

STEP 1: The authors should first email their manuscripts drafts to the first guest editor-in-chief Prof. Lim Phaik-Eem (e-mail: scs2019_jol@um.edu.my, Tel: +603-79674640 ) by 2019-07-31 . All the manuscripts will be checked for scientific merit before being submitted to JOL. The authors will be notified by 2019-08-15 on whether their submitted manuscript merit for submission to JOL

STEP 2: The qualified manuscripts from the first step should be submitted by authors via the JOL submission website: https://mc03.manuscriptcentral.com/c-jol or https://cn03.manuscriptcentral.com/c-jol (the mirror site in China). Please register it first for new users. The deadline for submissions is 2019-09-30

Before you submit your manuscript to the website, please read all applicable documents listed in the Instructions & Forms at the upper-right corner of the website, and be familiar with all the requirements and policies specified by the journal. Important documents are:

c. Copyright transfer statement

d. Data availability statement

e. The title page

STEP 3: A manuscript will firstly being evaluated at editorial level for its scientific perspectives, and it shall be hypothesis-driven, novel, and have a broad interest to researchers and public outside the immediate area. Then, the manuscript will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers. In general the review process will take two months but subjected to the reviewing process.
