INVENTION, INNOVATION & DESIGN ON E-LEARNING (IIDEL) COMPETITION

OVERVIEW

The IIDEL Competition at IUCEL 2026 serves as a premier platform for showcasing transformative e-learning solutions that extend beyond algorithmic automation towards human-centred, inclusive, and impactful education.

Theme: “Redefining Cybergogy Beyond Algorithms”

This competition emphasies the evolution of cybergogy, integrating cognitive, emotional and social dimensions of e-learning, to enhance meaningful learning experiences.

Participants are invited to present innovations that go beyond conventional AI applications, focusing on:

  • Human-centered design and ethical AI integration
  • Inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environments
  • Active, collaborative, and self-directed learning experiences
  • Scalable and sustainable digital education solutions

The IIDEL competition aligns with broader national and global agendas, supporting:

  • Digital technology integration in higher education
  • Educator digital transformation and professional development
  • SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Innovation) and SDG 17 (Partnerships)

OBJECTIVES

  • Promote innovative and inclusive e-learning solutions using technology
  • Encourage collaboration among global educators and researchers
  • Recognize impactful digital learning inventions in higher educations.

RULES

1. Open to individuals or teams from public or private higher education institutions.

2. Participants must submit:

  • Extended abstract (2-4 pages using the provided templates)
  • A1 Poster (portrait orientation)

3. All submissions must be original and related to technology - enhanced e-learning.

4. Projects must align with the IUCEL 2026 theme.

5. Each project can only be submitted once and must not have been previously awarded at IUCEL.

6. All materials must be submitted by the deadline via the official platform.

POSTER GUIDELINES

  • Participants must provide a digital poster of their own product.
  • Custom fonts, text, and background colours are allowed.
  • Minimum font size: 20pt
  • Illustrations such as graphs, diagrams, pictures, and QR codes are encouraged.

SUBMISSION

Participants are required to download the extended abstract and submit their extended abstract.
