Keynote Speaker 1

Abdullah Gani is an Honorary Professor at the Department of Computer System and Technology, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, Malaysia. He obtained tertiary academic qualifications from the University of Hull, UK – B.Phil, and M.Sc (Information Management) and the University of Sheffield, UK for Phd in Computer Science. Prior to his degree studies, he acquired the Teaching Certificate from Kinta Teaching College, Ipoh and Diploma of Computer Science, from ITM. He has vast teaching experience due to having worked in a number of educational institutions locally and abroad – schools, Malay Women Teaching College, Melaka, Ministry of Education; Rotterham College of Technology and Art, Rotterham, UK, University of Sheffield, UK. His interest in research kicked off in 1983 when he was chosen to attend the 3-Month Scientific Research Course in RECSAM by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. Since then, more than 150 academic papers have been published in proceedings and respectable journals internationally within top 10% ranking. He received a very good number of citations in Web of Science as well as Scopus databases. He actively supervises numerous students at all level of study – Bachelor, Master and Phd.
Area of interest in research includes Self-Organized Systems, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, Wireless related networks. He is now working on Mobile Cloud Computing with the High Impact Research Grant of USD 800,000 (RM2.5) for the period of 2011-2016. He is also the Principal Investigator of the research ‘Al-Quran and Hadith Authentication Systems’ with the grant of RM650,000. Besides that, he has received several grants of more than RM350,000. Currently, he is the Director of the Centre for Mobile Cloud Computing Research (C4MCCR at http://mobcc.fsktm.um.edu.my), which focuses on high impact research. The Centre has published more than 60 papers in Tier 1 and Tier 2 ISI-indexed journals in the last 5 years. Internationally, he serves as a Visiting Professor at the King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, Adjuct Professor at the COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. Currently, he serves as a reviewer to several high-quality journals, and Chief-in-Editor of Malaysian Journal of Computer Science, ISI-indexed journal.
Locally, he is a Visiting Professor at the University Malaysia Sabah, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (2015-2017). He serves as a Chairman of Industry Advisory Panel for Research Degree Program at UNITEN, Malaysia (2015-2017). He is a senior member of IEEE and was elected as a Fellow Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc) for Engineering and Computer Science discipline.

Professor Ts Dr Madihah Mohd Saudi
Professor Ts. Dr. Madihah Mohd Saudi is a recognized expert in cybersecurity, serving as a Professor in the Information Security & Assurance (ISA) Programme at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM). Her distinguished career, marked by over two decades of impactful contributions, reflects a unique blend of academic excellence, leadership, and technological innovation.
As the former Chief Information Officer and a member of USIM's senior management, she exemplified a visionary approach to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance educational systems, establishing a benchmark for institutional innovation and development. Prof. Madihah’s contributions to the cybersecurity domain are both extensive and transformative. She has authored numerous books, strategic frameworks, and high-impact journal articles, significantly advancing knowledge and practice in the field. Her international prominence is further underscored by her appointments as an Honorary Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Bristol's CyberSecurity Group, United Kingdom, and as Visiting Professor at prestigious institutions in Indonesia and Uzbekistan.
An active member of leading professional bodies, including the IEEE Computer Society, Prof. Madihah specializes in cybersecurity and machine learning, focusing on innovative solutions to contemporary challenges. Her academic credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Security, complemented by professional certifications such as GSEC and CEH, reflecting her deep commitment to expertise and continual professional development. Prof. Madihah’s influence extends far beyond academia, shaping global cybersecurity practices through knowledge dissemination, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives. Her research interests are strategically focused on critical areas, including malware detection and response, mobile security, and the application of machine learning in cybersecurity. Through her leadership and scholarly contributions, Prof. Madihah continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the cybersecurity landscape, inspiring professionals and academics worldwide.

Dr Susanto Rahardja received the PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research activities and interests are in multimedia, signal processing, wireless communications, discrete transforms, machine learning, signal processing algorithms and implementation. He contributed to the development of a series of audio compression technologies such as Audio Video Standards AVS-L, AVS-2 and ISO/IEC 14496-3:2005/Amd.2:2006, ISO/IEC 14496-3:2005/Amd.3:2006 in which some have been licensed worldwide. He has more than 350 papers and 70 patents worldwide out of which 15 are US patents.
Dr Susanto Rahardja is a Professor at Singapore Institute of Technology and a PhD advisor at Northwestern Polytechnical University. He was past Associate Editors of IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing and IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, past Senior Editor of the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, and is currently serving as Associate Editors for the Elsevier Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics as well as a member of Editorial Board of IEEE Access. He was the Conference Chair of 5th ACM SIGGRAPHASIA in 2012, General Co-Chairs of APSIPA 2nd and 10th Summit and Conference in 2010 and 2018 respectively, as well as more than 10 other conferences in ACM, SPIE and IEEE.
Professor Rahardja is a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore and a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – the highest grade in IEEE that is conferred each year to no more than one per cent of IEEE voting members.
